Ye Ming (pen name: Yehenara Yulin), of the Manchu Bordered Blue Banner, a fifth-generation descendant of Empress Dowager Cixi's Yehenara clan, is an inheritor of Manchu-Han combined calligraphy (满汉合璧) — one of the contemporary representatives among the fewer than one hundred people worldwide who have mastered Manchu-script calligraphy. He is a member of the China Calligraphers Association, a guest professor at the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, and co-author of A Concise Course in Manchu. His works have been broadcast on CCTV and exhibited in Macau. Founder of "Auspicious Manchu" (吉祥满族), China's largest Manchu culture platform, he has devoted more than twenty years to keeping the endangered Manchu script alive in the present day through the art of calligraphy.
